Hawk helium stick mods
Hey guys. Just wanted to share what I did recently with my Hawk Helium’s. There’s a lot of guys running rope mod with Amsteel. I decided to make a UCR mod (Utility Constrictor Rope). So I had some 7/64” black Amsteel and a bunch of Endura Dyneema rope in same size but in blue. This little rig holds up nicely!
Nov 2, 2017. #1. Just got a set and thinking of cutting them down and using a 3 step aider on each. My question is about where to cut them down. Considering cutting them just below the middle step at the bottom of that solid section just before the slot cut out begin again. My initial plan was to cut them so the steps are at roughly 20” apart.

The ropes are lighter and overall quieter. I do have the buckles on the straps covered with kayak grips but even just pulling the strap tight can cause a bit of noise on quiet days.
