The surgeon called my dad to offer surgery 6 minutes after the colonoscopy report was completed. My dad was caught off guard by the call and the surgeons urgency, which in retrospect seems like verging on ambulance chasing. The gastroenterologist wrote in his report that surgery would likely be necessary but was non-urgent.
